A faster, measurable website for a regional staffing company
We built and launched a new website for a regional staffing company, set up the tools to measure it, and tuned it for speed. Mobile PageSpeed went from 82 to 95.
What we did
- Built and launched their new website
- Set up Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics, so the site's search presence and visits can be measured
- Built a private, live SEO health dashboard for the client
- Fixed the www redirect so every visitor and search engine lands on one version of the site
- Checked the server's security
- Tuned the site for mobile speed, measured before and after
Before and after
| Measure | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Mobile PageSpeed score | 82 | 95 |
| Mobile main-content load (LCP) | 4.3 s | 2.1 s |
| Desktop PageSpeed score | 99 | 99 (held) |
Google PageSpeed Insights, median of 3 runs each. These are lab measurements of the site, not traffic, leads or revenue.
What this is, and isn't
This was website and performance work. It wasn't an AI Audit, and we aren't claiming any change in leads, calls or revenue, because we haven't measured one. The client isn't named here.
What it does show is how we work on any project: agree what to measure, take a baseline, make careful changes with a backup first, and report the before and after with the method stated. The AI Audit starts the same way, with a baseline measured with you.
What the numbers mean
- PageSpeed score is Google's 0 to 100 lab rating of how fast and smooth a page loads.
- LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) is how long the main content takes to appear. Google treats 2.5 s or less as good.
- Median of 3 runs because single runs vary.
